Reasons to be Cheerful - A Lockdown 3 Competition
Our thanks go to Denis Kilcommons, Huddersfield Examiner columnist, and his wife Maria, who judged the photos that made them smile most. Back in the mists of time, the Kilcommons' encountered HLC, and pop group Dr Hook, during a very lively weekend at Scarborough - ask veteran choir members for details - probably very hazy!
They commented: "We took "Reasons To Be Cheerful" seriously so that, while some of the photographs were exceptionally good, there were three in particular that made us smile and provided that extra factor to cheer us up. First was Ann Brierley's picture of grand-daughter Enid who was captivated by the spinning of the washing machine. Wait till she gets her first iPad. Second was Grace Dronsfield's snowman with button eyes and amazing smile. Where did she get those teeth? And third, Liz Ryan's dog Dora. All great pictures but those were our top choices for the smile factor."

I have just put together our new bench (with its very nifty pop-up table!), so we are ready for spring! Coffee breaks will be taken outside as soon as it's warm enough. 😁
